Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

Dr. Farrar received her Ed.D. in higher education administration with a concentration in nursing in 1984 from Vanderbilt University. She also received her MSN and BSN from Vanderbilt. Dr. Farrar has a diverse clinical background with a history of working in hemodialysis, administration, critical care, emergency room, oncology, home health, pediatrics, and mental health. She has been a former Director of a nursing program, nurse executive for a hospital and private duty staffing company. She has taught at the university level for 40 years and has experience teaching in an ADN, BSN, MSN, and DNP program. Dr. Farrar has taught graduate online classes in the nurse educator, healthcare system leader, administration, FNP, and informatics specialty tracks.
