Emily Marquis

College of Allied Health

Emily Marquis is a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach and health educator with a Master of Arts in Health and Wellness Coaching and a background in human resources. She has more than a decade of experience in coaching, education, and curriculum development within integrated health sciences.
She currently works at her local county public health department as a health coach and health educator, supporting community members in building sustainable health behaviors and improving overall well-being. She also serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Bachelor of Science in Integrated Health program at Walden University, where she teaches foundational coaching skills and evidence-based behavior change strategies.
Her areas of expertise include mental health coaching, behavior change, motivational interviewing, and integrative wellness. Her professional and research interests focus on the intersection of mental health and lifestyle behavior change, as well as the application of coaching in clinical and community health settings.
Emily has previously taught, mentored, and developed curriculum for several health coaching programs and academic institutions. She has also contributed to research teams and projects as a Health Coach.
She has presented on mental health coaching and behavior change at national conferences, including the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching conference and the USA Today conference. Emily is also a certified yoga and mindfulness instructor and worksite wellness educator.
