Dr. Elisa or Dr. E, hails from the Caribbean island of St. Thomas, U. S. Virgin Islands. She holds a Bachelor's in Psychology (2002) and a Master's in Education with a concentration in Guidance and Counseling (2005) from the University of the Virgin Islands. She obtained a second Masters in Mental Health Counseling (2009) from Argosy University. She completed her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision (2019) from Walden University. Dr. E has over 10 years in the counseling profession. She is currently a Licensed Mental Health Counseling in the State of Florida. She is also a qualified supervisor for mental health counselor interns and marriage and family therapist interns. Dr. E holds credentials as a Board Certified Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. Dr. E has presented at local and national conferences.

Dr. E is a contributing faculty and enjoys engaging with students. She is currently in private practice and works part-time in the local county jail in her community. Dr. E is a member of the Florida Counseling Association, Florida Mental Health Counselors Association, and the Florida Association for Play Therapy.
