Ego Onyejekwe
Egondu Rosemary Onyejekwe, BSc., MA., MA., MA., MS., PhD.,
Dr. Onyejekwe holds six degrees in a variety of fields, starting with a BSc (Hons) in Zoology (Parasitology). Her last two degrees where form Ohio University, Athens, Ohio. There, she obtained a doctorate degree is in Information Systems (Communications) and a Master of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering. She holds three additional and separate Masters’ degrees from The Ohio State University, (Columbus, Ohio). These include Zoology (MS), Health Education (MA) and Public Health Administration (MA).
She is an award-winning Medical and Health Informatics Professional with many years of demonstrated experience seasoned with impeccable records of excellence across diversifications in the field including Education, Research and Leadership. She possesses solid academic and professional backgrounds in both systems’ engineering and Public health backgrounds, and these have been influential in her achievements over the years coupled with several local and international recognitions in the fields of Medical and Health informatics. As a transformational leader in workforce redesign she works extensively and strategically to embolden internal and external stakeholder partnerships. She is an accomplished Professor with extended teaching, research, scholarly writing and mentoring skills.
Currently at Walden, she serves in mentoring capacity as Committee Chair, Committee Member and URR for Capstone students in PhD and DrPH programs. She is a great communicator with prolific ability to communicate policies and architecting of operation strategies. She has shown leadership and expertise in driving information technology (IT) operative processes – from planning, initiating, to architectural and/or infrastructural design. Highly skilled in aligning technology plan to evolving business processes. Proficient in utilizing many software tools, including, Business Programming Tools (COBOL/SAS/FORTRAN), Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques and Basic office tools for Project Management and MS-Office Suites (MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
Dr. Onyejekwe’s research interests focus on Big Data and Big Data Analytics in Population Health: Her specific interest lies in the AI exploration of how organizations navigate BD and conduct BDA with special interest in the Effect of Mobile Communications in Organizational Settings. Additionally, she is interested in Artificial Intelligence (AI) mobile health applications that impact on or improve public health.
