Dr. Diane R. Penland taught students with special needs in inclusive settings for most of her 17 year P-12 teaching career. She then moved to academia with roles as university faculty and administration of preservice and inservice teacher programs. Presently, Dr. Penland is an Assessment Director and Core Faculty for the RWR College of Education and Leadership. She has worked for Walden as faculty and in assessment for the past 14 years. Her passion is working in educational programs for teachers so they can positively impact student learning and successfully work with all students in their classrooms.
