Dr. Desiree' Stephens, LPC-S, NCC, TLHL LMHC, Certified-CCPT is a dedicated educator and clinical professional in the field of counselor education and supervision. As a contributing faculty member at Walden University, she is passionate about teaching clinical courses and equipping students with the skills to work effectively with diverse populations. Dr. Stephens emphasizes the importance of multicultural counseling, providing students with practical tools to support individuals from all segments of society.

In addition to her role at Walden, Dr. Stephens owns a private counseling practice in McKinney, TX. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) in Texas, a Telehealth Licensed Mental Health Clinician in Florida, and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado. Dr. Stephens is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Certified Child-Centered Play Therapist (CCPT), with a particular passion for child-centered play therapy and working with adolescents. She uses creative, client-focused approaches to address the unique needs of younger clients and their families.

With a strong foundation in counseling, teaching, supervision, and advocacy, Dr. Stephens is dedicated to helping students develop the knowledge, skills, and cultural competence needed to thrive in the counseling profession.
