Mrs. Denise Anderson's formal training is in Mental Health Counseling where she has served in various roles over her 12+ year career. Denise Anderson served as a recovery specialist for the Apalachee center, Inc. in Tallahassee Florida. She then moved back to south Florida where she served as a clinical assistant and then advanced to a clinical therapist. While providing mental health counseling services to adults and youth offenders in residential programs, she began teaching in her local school district as a career and social counselor secondary teacher. At Walden University, she is teaching Introduction to Mental Health Counseling within the Master program of the school of counseling. In addition to her role as a contributing faculty member, Denise provides mental health counseling via BetterHelp to adults who present with symptoms of depression, anxiety, and relationship conflicts.
