Denise Anderson

Dr. Denise Anderson's formal training is in Mental Health Counseling where she has served in various roles over her 12+ year career. Dr. Anderson is a Licensed Professional Counselor, (Texas), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (Florida) and a National Certified Counselor. Dr. Anderson began her career as a Recovery Specialist for the Apalachee Center, Inc. in Tallahassee Florida. She then moved back to south Florida where she served as a Clinical Assistant and then advanced to a Clinical Therapist. While providing mental health counseling services to adults and youth offenders in residential programs, she began teaching in her local school district as a career and social counselor secondary teacher. At Walden University, she has taught a variety of courses within the CMHCP program. In addition to her role as a Contributing Faculty member, Dr. Anderson is the owner of Adsum Counseling LLC, where she is committed to helping men, women, and children learn how to cope with anxiety or depression, learn healthier communication skills and boundaries, process and heal from traumatic events, and build healthier relationships within marriages or family units.
