Dena AuCoin earned her EdD in Teaching and Curriculum from Northcentral University - and was an educator in early childhood, elementary, and special education for 15 years before going into higher education.
Dena has authored a chapter for a Montessori administration textbook, which is currently in publication. She is involved in research in early transition language and self-determination for students with disabilities, Montessori collaboration in special education, Autism social skills, Response to Intervention in early childhood, and support for students with disabilities in the Montessori Classroom. Most recently, Dena has been studying how to make student collaboration more effective in the online environment.
