Dr. DeAllen Millender has been a contributing faculty member at Walden University since March, 2014. She has been a Registered Nurse for over 20 years. She has been an Advanced Practice Nurse and educator for 15 of those years. She received her BSN and MSN at the University of South Alabama. She received her DNP from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is NCC certified as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. She is also certified by Thomas Edison University as a Distance Educator. Her research interests include healthy lifestyles, women's health, and best practices in distance education.
