David Blum

Dr. David Blum’s formal training is in business administration. Dr. Blum has been mentoring doctoral students for 5 years and has been teaching specialization courses in accounting, finance, and energy management for 9 years. At Walden, Dr Blum serves as a dissertation chair, committee member, and university research reviewer. Dr. Blum has served on numerous doctoral student dissertation committees. Since coming to Walden in 2017 Dr. Blum has guided 20 students to complete their doctoral studies.

Dr. Blum’s research interests are focused on venture capital, investing, renewable energy, and sustainable business issues. Dr. Blum has been an entrepreneur in the technology, sustainable business practices, real estate, and consulting fields intertwined with 30 plus years of financial and managerial accounting experience. Dr. Blum has published eight peer reviewed articles since graduating from the Walden DBA program in 2013 as well as have written two books.
