Dr. Berksteiner received her Ed.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Argosy University in 2017. She currently serves as contributing faculty in the School of Counseling at Walden University and began her role in the fall of 2025. Dr. Berksteiner is a Licensed Professional Counselor (GA, TX), National Certified Counselor (NCC), Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC), Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), Choice Theory Reality Therapy Certified, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Qualified Teacher Level 1. She teaches Career Counseling and Social Change in Action. Dr. Berksteiner has over 20 years of experience as a clinical mental health provider. She has had the opportunity to work with a vast population of clients that include children, adolescents, families, couples, and individuals. Her research interest includes the role of religion/spirituality in counseling, and the unique needs of the military population.
