Dr. Davis obtained her MSW from the University of Tennessee, Ph.D. in social welfare from the University of California at Los Angeles, and completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in clinical psychology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. After her post-doctoral fellowship, she was employed as a behavioral scientist at the NHMRC National Breast Cancer Center in Sydney, and then began her academic career at the University of Tennessee. She obtained the rank of full-professor. She is a Senior Fellow with the Higher Educational Academy and has completed several Fulbright Senior Specialist Fulbright awards. She is a contributing faculty member at Walden University. Her research interests include International Social Work, Health, and Psycho-oncology, Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods.
