Dr. Christine Sopa is an Industrial Organizational Psychologist and a contributing faculty member in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Walden University. Dr. Sopa works with students in the Behavioral Health Leadership PsyD program, teaching courses and acting as a capstone mentor and chair as students work through their capstone projects. Dr. Sopa has over 20 years of teaching and facilitating experience in both corporate and university settings, focusing specifically on women in the workforce, emotional intelligence, change management, assessment creation and administration, and mindset theory. She is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Society of Industrial Organizational Psychology (SIOP), a top 10 nominee for the Athena International Women’s Leadership Award, the author of three published books, and is the CEO of The Wayfarer Group, LLC, a consulting and executive coaching firm, which she established in 2003. She has worked with Fortune 100 companies globally, served on several Board of Directors for local non-profits, and spent 4 years as Vice President and President of the Board of Education in Cecil County, Maryland. Dr. Sopa is currently doing research on the gender communication gap in the post-#Metoo era and how it affects gender communication in the world of work, as well as research on how organizations manage and move through change.
