Dr. Christina L. Stevenson received her DNP in Nursing at the Frontier University in 2017. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Post-Masters Certificate from South University; Bachelors Science of Nursing (BSN) from the University of Mobile and a Bachelor’s in Psychology (B.A.) from Tuskegee University. Dr. Stevenson has dual certifications as both Family and Adult Nurse Practitioner. She has served as adjunct faculty/coach at other universities in their Bachelor’s and Master’s Nursing programs teaching in courses such as: Nursing Research, Introduction to Professional Nursing, Advanced Health Assessment, Health Promotions, Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, and Clinical Procedures to name a few.
Professionally, Dr. Stevenson has works in psychiatry and primary care in the community, hospital, and correctional settings, as well as for our nations veteran’s. Dr. Stevenson also does some work as a Legal Nurse Consultant.
With her interest in psychiatry, she completed a completed a Quality Improvement project entitled: “A Patient Centered Approach: Implementation of Depression Screening Protocol using the Patient Healthcare Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) in the Home Health Patients.”
