Dr. Cale is an internationally recognized instructor, consultant, educational leader, mentor, and personal development expert with 28 years of practical, consultative, research, and leadership expertise in education, psychology, program design, strategy, and organizational leadership. Dr. Cale holds a Ph.D. in Psychological and Social Sciences (Counselor Education and Supervision) from the University of South Florida, a Master in Educational Leadership also from USF, and a Master of Science in both Marriage, Family, and Child Counselling (MFCC), and School Counselling from the award-winning California State University Sacramento.

In 1991, Dr. Cale obtained his Bachelor of Science in Criminology at California State University Sacramento, following in his father's footsteps, who had a successful career as a special agent in the FBI. As a child, Dr. Cale would visit FBI investigation crime scenes in California for fun. Before diverting into the field of education, Dr. Cale’s first position out of university was that of a juvenile probation officer in Sacramento, California. Later, in 1996, Dr. Cale obtained his marriage, family, child counseling (MFCC) M.S. degree at the award-winning California State University Counseling program and was lucky enough to be mentored under the wing of Dr. Ted Turner, whose primary mentor was the one and only Carl Rogers. In the 2000s, he completed his Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at the University of South Florida. His mentor and dissertation chair, Dr. Carlos Zalaquett, worked closely in his career with Albert Elis, Donald Meichenbaum, and Allen E. Ivey. Dr. Cale possesses a master’s in educational leadership from USF and spent several years as a school principal in public and charter schools in California, Florida, and Hawaii, serving diverse underprivileged families and children.

Dr Cale has an active research agenda and has published several articles; publications from the last few years are listed below. Currently, his primary areas of research are focused on ibogaine addiction therapy, psychedelic psychotherapy, ontological therapeutical approaches, anthropometry in MFT, holistic Therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy as related to all the previously mentioned focus areas.

Dr. Cale’s passion for exploring new cultures has led me on a lifelong journey to ~75 countries on five continents. For the last eight years, he has lived in Italy, the Netherlands, Costa Rica, Vanuatu, Australia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Thailand, Cambodia, and French Polynesia, and now resides in Adirondack Park, upstate NY.

Dr. Cale has successfully mentored over 100 students through the doctoral process (dissertation/project) process in six universities EDD, Ph.D., and PsyD programs.
