Carol Hannahs

Ms. Carol Hannahs, M.A., M.S. has been a college math, computer science, and statistics instructor since 1981. She has been teaching online classes since 2005 and exclusive to online only since 2009. Carol has also developed several online courses for universities in algebra, trigonometry, and precalculus. Ms. Hannahs attended the University of Kentucky, where she received degrees in Mathematics and another in Instructional Systems Design (Education).

She is an active member of several teaching, learning, and mathematical organizations, such as the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges (AMATYC). She attends conferences and presents sessions on using technology in the online classroom, student engagement, and motivation for learning mathematics. These are her main research interests.
At Walden University, she currently teaches early classes, including MATH 1030, MATH 1040.

Outside of Walden University, Carol is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She has a small practice where she works as a mentor and coach, supporting students and adults in mathematics and making career choices, and setting and achieving goals for being successful in life.
