Dr. Ann Renee Guy has been in the field of education since 1988. She has taught early childhood, elementary, secondary, and postsecondary education. Furthermore, Dr. Guy has taught taught in public and private institutions. Currently, she teaches child development courses in a local community college, and at Walden University, she teaches bachelor level courses in child development.
Dr. Guy's current research interests focus primarily on early literacy and language development. In 2012, she was awarded the Alabama Community College System Award of Excellence and the Class of Faculty Academy Educators (FAME). In addition, Dr. Guy is very active with the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). In 2014, she was trained as a Peer Reviewer for the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Recognition of Baccalaureate and Graduate Degree Programs. Dr. Guy continues to pursue excellence in the field of education.
