Andridia Mapson
Dr. Mapson is a contributing faculty member with over 10 years of higher education experience. Prior to joining the faculty at Walden as an adjunct, she was an assistant professor at a university in Washington, DC teaching in the traditional classroom and online setting. She has over fifteen years post-masters level clinical practice experience in different venues which includes forensics settings such as a juvenile and adult detention centers (males and females), outpatient forensic mental health residential facilities (adults), and inpatient residential facilities where she provided individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and supportive counseling. Dr. Mapson has published articles and book chapters in the Journal of Evidence-Based Social Work, Families in Society, and the Journal of Human Behavior in the Social Environment with her scholarship specifically focused in the area of criminal justice.
