Dr. Allyson Wattley is an experienced higher education professional with over twenty years of teaching, program management, online course development, and faculty/staff development. She currently works as the Academic Program Director for the College of Management and Technology at Walden University, a fully online doctoral-granting institution. Dr. Wattley attended Howard University, where she earned a B.A. in Human Communication Studies, an M.Ed in Counseling and Guidance, and Ph.D. in Organizational Communication. Before her work in academia, Dr. Wattley worked in the substance abuse treatment field as a Clinical Manager at a substance abuse treatment center. Dr. Wattley is an advocate for mental health treatment and empowerment for women and underserved populations.
Dr. Wattley lives in Houston, Texas, and is the mother to two teenaged sons and two canines who keep her busy and happy.
