Aisha Mix
Aisha K. Mix received her DNP from Case Western Reserve University, MPH from Johns Hopkins University, and MSN and BSN degrees from Hampton University. She is licensed as a Registered Nurse in Maryland and is a board-certified National Healthcare Disaster professional. Dr. Mix currently serves as Contributing Faculty in the School of Nursing and has served in this role since October 2017. She is also a Captain in the U.S. Public Health Service. When deployed, she serves on a specialized team that is responsible for meeting the health and human services needs of individuals and communities following a public health emergency or declared disaster. Dr. Mix’s experience includes work with federal grants and health policy; federal, state, county, and military case management programs; correctional health; and clinical services, including home health care and labor and delivery nursing.
