Dr. Brittany Freeman-Anderson, LPC, ACS, is a licensed counselor, speaker, educator, and CEO of A Freeman’s Place Counseling, offering culturally responsive care to youth, women, and families. A two-time Walden alumna, she also founded Hey Dr. Britt, a platform focused on grief and loss education for individuals, communities, and organizations.

Dr. Sidney Shaw, core faculty in Walden’s MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program since 2014, has over two decades of counseling experience across diverse settings. His scholarly work includes national presentations, peer-reviewed publications, and research on anxiety, suicide prevention, AI in counseling, and psychological flexibility.

Dr. Montrece Ransom, JD, MPH, is director of the National Coordinating Center for Public Health Training. An ICF-certified Empowerment Coach and DEI-certified Belonging Strategist , she has received awards from APHA and ABA and was named a Top 5 Coach by Entrepreneur Mogul . She has been a Walden faculty member since 2014.
