Award: One Full-Tuition Scholarship
Every year, Walden honors State Teachers of the Year recipients by offering each of these outstanding educators a full-tuition scholarship1 when they enroll in a degree or certificate program in the Riley College of Education and Human Sciences. The scholarship only covers the cost of tuition for one degree program or certificate.
New 25% tuition reduction for referrals: To help support other passionate educators, 2022 State Teachers of the Year may refer up to two educators for a 25% tuition reduction,2 applied over the lifetime of any degree or certificate program in the Riley College of Education and Human Sciences.
Criteria
Scholarship recipients must:
- Have been named their state’s 2022 teacher of the year and have their name published on the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) website.
- Be eligible to enroll in a Walden University program.
- Choose one degree or certificate program in The Richard W. Riley College of Education and Leadership.
- Not be a current Walden University student prior to January 1, 2022.
- Not be in receipt of another merit-based Walden scholarship for the type of degree they are pursuing (i.e., master’s degree or doctorate) before January 1, 2022.
