Eligible Baldrige Community members may receive a 10% tuition reduction* when enrolling as a new Walden student in approved degree programs. This reduction will remain in effect for the duration of the student’s enrollment at Walden. New students who qualify for an existing 10% U.S. partnership tuition reduction may combine that reduction with any one quarter or semester-based offer. Unless otherwise specified, the 10% U.S. partnership tuition reduction is the only offer that may be combined.
*Baldridge Community members that are new students qualify for a 10% tuition reduction. Baldridge Community members currently or previously enrolled in Walden’s programs are not eligible for this tuition reduction and no tuition reduction will be made retroactively. Only one tuition reduction benefit may be applied to tuition. The tuition reduction is not applicable for students enrolled in the Family Nurse Practitioner specialization in the Master of Science in Nursing. This offer is not a guarantee that all candidates eligible for the offer will be granted acceptance or admission into Walden. All prospective students will be subject to the same standard admissions and registration processes as all other prospective students applying to Walden. The tuition reduction is applicable to tuition only and does not apply toward books, materials, or other supplies or fees needed for a course. This reduction will remain in effect for the duration of the student’s continuous enrollment at Walden. Walden may change or stop offering the tuition reduction offered hereunder at any time, but such change will not affect the tuition reduction for students who are currently enrolled at Walden and using the existing tuition reduction.
As an alternative to traditional doctoral study, the Consulting Capstone is an individual project in which DBA students serve as consultants to an organization. Using knowledge and skills gained from their doctoral course of study, students will conduct in-depth research for and about their assigned client organization and will coach their clients to improve key work processes, overcome strategic challenges, and increase overall performance. Clients and DBA students will collaborate to help these organizations bring about positive social change.
Using the Baldrige Excellence Framework
Thousands of organizations around the world use the Baldrige Excellence Framework and its Criteria for Performance Excellence as a guide to improving performance and achieving enduring results that align with their mission and achievement of strategic objectives. Incorporating this proven framework for organizational improvement and innovation into the Consulting Capstone offers DBA students and their clients an integrated, systems-based approach to exploring key management and leadership areas.
The Baldrige framework is a holistic management and leadership system. Using it as a general resource and guide, students will identify a conceptual framework for their capstone study that aligns with the systems-based perspective of the framework.
