No student fits into a standard, one-size-fits-all box of core content. This engaging and unforgettable experience will leave you motivated to uncover, foster, and amplify the unique gifts and talents that our students possess. Transformational teachers serve the whole child, honoring each child’s obvious and undiscovered talents. Thus, we focus on Self, Heart (passion), how to Inspire and Navigate to create the Exceptional people our students are meant to be.
The COVID-19 pandemic is rapidly changing the way students are learning around the world, especially at U.S. colleges and universities. As part of Walden’s mission of advancing positive social change, we are continuing our Talks For Good series, which is designed to inspire action and provide a platform for leaders in education to share their thoughts and ideas.
How are you engaging with families? This is a challenging time for everyone as school systems and families adapt to virtual, traditional, or hybrid classes. This webinar focuses on the who, what, when, where, and why of family engagement. Educators will gain tools to cultivate and build successful, engaging partnerships with families.
The current international pandemic has forced many teachers to abandon their physical classrooms for the virtual learning environment. While that sudden change in teaching and learning styles can be daunting, students can learn successfully from a distance if the right technology tools and instructional strategies are implemented. This webinar will introduce some of those tools and strategies and allow time for participants to share difficulties and personal challenges.
Attendees will learn:
What are some technology tools for lecture capture, collaboration, and presentations that work seamlessly with most learning management systems?
How do you to create supplemental asynchronous activities?
How do you establish productive schedules for students of all ages?
How do you ensure netiquette, structure, and respect in an online environment?
The purpose of this event is to provide prospective students the opportunity to interact with faculty, alumni, and enrollment specialists to learn more about the benefits of being a Walden student.
The event will include a video of Walden's 50th Commencement celebration and a discussion with faculty, alumni and enrollment. This is an opportunity to learn more about the student experience, the benefits of being a Walden student, what the enrollment process entails, and what options are available for starting classes.
