There is no additional cost to complete a DIT specialization. With specializations included in the DIT program tuition, you can choose one of five specializations to focus your studies on a subject area that aligns with your goals.
With a doctorate in information technology specialization in cybersecurity, you’ll have the specialized knowledge and advanced skills to pursue new professional paths in the field. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment opportunities in cybersecurity are on the rise. The job outlook for information security analysts, for example, is expected to grow by 29% from 2024 to 2034—much faster than average. The problem-solving and leadership skills gained in a DIT program focused on cybersecurity can be applied in computer and information systems management, with job roles such as chief information officer (CIO) and chief technology officer (CTO).
