Wake up, 6 a.m.
Breakfast at 7.
Kids off to school, quarter to 8.
Then out the door at 8:15.
Along with soccer practice, school events, dinner, homework … I don’t have much spare time. But I still want to do it all – and that includes earning my graduate degree.
Why do I do it? Because when it comes to my career, I want to do what I love. So I need to make the time to follow that passion.
I break my day into simple steps —like setting up a dedicated study space and creating a log to identify the best times to study.
And I use my phone wisely because there's always time to review my schoolwork and notes, even when I am on the go.
If I have any questions or issues, there are tons of resources to help me out. Because thanks to Walden, I’m now in the growing group of adult learners out there following our dreams—whether that’s a promotion, fulfilling a personal goal, or career change.
Maybe even all three.
And while I’m not saying it’s exactly easy, I know the important things in life seldom are.
