As part of Walden University’s mission to create an interdisciplinary academic community of scholars and practitioners, the university sponsors six peer-reviewed, open access journals to disseminate original research, literature reviews and other scholarly content. By providing a bridge between theory and practice, these journals facilitate the creation and open exchange of ideas and practical solutions that generate positive social change in local communities and across the globe.

International Journal of Applied Management and Technology

The International Journal of Applied Management and Technology publishes interdisciplinary research on contemporary issues related to business, management and technology. Covering the fields of decision sciences, information systems management, project management, public and nonprofit administration and more, the journal features the work of scholars, practitioners and both undergraduate and graduate students.

Journal of Educational Research and Practice

The Journal of Educational Research and Practice provides a forum for scholarly study and dialogue to facilitate social change in the field of education and learning at all levels and in any setting. It features original research, commentaries, book reviews, interviews of prominent individuals and reports about educational practice from scholar-practitioners of all levels, including current students.

Journal of Excellence in Nursing and Healthcare Practice

The Journal of Excellence in Nursing and Healthcare Practice communicates research-based findings on clinical, educational and administrative practices that improve patient outcomes and promote excellence in nursing care. Featuring work by scholars, practitioners and graduate students, the journal covers quality improvement projects, research or projects on social change, cutting-edge technology in healthcare and more. Readers of this journal can receive free continuing education (CEs) for eligible articles.

Journal of Social, Behavioral, and Health Sciences

The Journal of Social, Behavioral, and Health Sciences features intradisciplinary and interdisciplinary research in the behavioral, social and health sciences that addresses contemporary national and international issues. Journal of Social Work in the Global Community

The Journal of Social Work in the Global Community promotes research in the practice of social work that has international or local significance with a focus on social change. It covers interdisciplinary social work practice and research — domestically and abroad — and includes original research, case studies, literature and book reviews, and policy and thought pieces.
