Dr. Dawson is an assistant professor of management information systems at a state university in Alabama where he is creating innovative programs in cyber security and information warfare. He also serves as a chief information officer at a small defense company that specializes in information technology services. Dr. Dawson is editor-in-chief of the Journal of Information Systems Technology & Planning and is an active member of the international advisory board for the Indian Journal of Commerce & Management Studies. He has published more than 70 articles in peer-reviewed journals and proceedings and is certified by the Canadian Information Processing Society, the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium and the ISACA. Dr. Dawson is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the International Association of Engineers. He joined Walden’s DBA faculty in 2011 as a methodologist, guiding students through the doctoral study process.
