Courts And The Legal System

Courtroom dramas can be as compelling in real life as they are on television and in books. In the Courts and the Legal System concentration, you will discover how the justice system really functions. In your review of the judicial process, you will examine the principles of law as they apply to topics such as domestic and international crimes, criminal defense, and punishment. You’ll also be able to explore aspects of civil law, including family law, employment law, property rights, and malpractice issues, while earning your online BS in Human Services degree. This broad overview will enable you to gain the foundational skills needed to identify and analyze the relationship between victims, offenders, communities, and government agencies in their response to crime.
