The Richard W. Riley College of Education and Leadership is committed to the continual assessment and improvement of its programs in an effort to provide a quality education that meets professional standards and the expectations of our students.
The college regularly reviews satisfaction survey data collected from current students, alumni, faculty, and employers of alumni administered by the Walden Office of Institutional Research and Assessment. Data collected from these surveys is used to gain insight into the student experience within our professional education programs as well as the perceptions of graduates about the impact obtaining a degree at Walden has had on their careers as professional educators. The college also engages in additional data collection activities (e.g., research studies, collection of program assessment data, interviews, focus groups, and educator preparation program graduate and employer follow up surveys) to ensure that students are acquiring the necessary competencies and expertise to be more effective educators.
