Virginia Wilcox has been in Education in some capacity for the past 30 years. She began as an Elementary School teacher at Fort Benning Army Base in Columbus, Georgia and has taught grades 2-6 from Georgia to Alabama to Oregon and Washington State. Dr. Wilcox graduated from Wesleyan College in 1990 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She received her Masters degree in Elementary Education and a Ph.D. in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction specializing in Math, Science, and Technology Integration both from Auburn University. She currently lives in Forsyth, Georgia, is the mom of three teenaged girls who keep her busy with Volleyball, Marching Band, and Chorus Concerts. She is the department chair of Education at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia and enjoys spending time reading, relaxing at the beach, and binging on a select few Netflix shows.
