Victoria Latifses

Dr. Latifses has been with Walden University since 2015, serving as contributing faculty for the forensic psychology program. She also has taught at St. Edward's University in Austin, TX. For the most part, her clinical career has been in public mental health, working with those who have severe and chronic symptoms of mental illness.
A formative part of her clinical development took place at West Valley Mental Health Center and San Fernando Mental Health Center for the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. Dr. Latifses was a clinician in the Child and Family Clinic, a rotating clinician in emergency crisis response and adult services. In 2011, Dr. Latifses became the Austin State Hospital Director of Psychology in Austin, Texas. She oversaw all psychology services which include the forensic psychology competency restoration program, neuropsychology, psychology, and student training programs. She and her colleagues are developing new forensic programming, including new initiatives for the NGRI population. She served as an Affliate Faculty for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at UT Dell Medical School. The University of Texas-Austin, Dell Medical School and Austin State Hospital are developing partnerships and plans for future research. She is the CEO and Founder of Embodied Psychotherapy in Austin, TX.
