Dr. A. Victor Ferreros 's formal training is in public policy analysis ,public administration and quantitative data analysis. He has been a practicing public administrator for most of his career having served in federal, state and local government with stints in the private sector and higher education. Highlights in this area include working as Director for the US Senate Computer Center in Washington DC. He served as OMB and Planning Directors for the states of Alaska and Kansas, and prior to that as Chief Staff Economist and Senior Policy Analyst for the states of Kansas and Alaska. He has also served as Chief Information Officer for the county governments of Palm Beach and Martin counties in Florida . He was also a Project Manager in the Office of Research in the Council of State Governments in Lexington, Kentucky. Prior to working at Walden, he was an adjunct faculty member in the Askew School of Public Administration and Policy at Florida State University and Director of the Northwest Regional Data Center . At Walden, Dr. Ferreros teaches the quantitative reasoning courses and analytic methods . He has served on numerous doctoral student dissertation committees.
He received his M.P.A. ,M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Kansas and has taught at numerous brick and mortar schools prior to his tenure at Walden.
