Tim Truitt is currently a chief administrative officer at the University of California San Diego and adjunct professor and doctoral mentor at Walden University. Dr. Truitt’s experience includes serving as a chief executive officer, chief administrative officer, and chief financial officer in the private, government, and nonprofit sectors with various governments and university representatives in the USA and overseas. He has a bachelor’s degree in international development studies, an MBA and PhD in business administration with a concentration in financial management. He has more than 15 years of experience in scholarly activities in leadership, ethics, strategic planning, project management, accounting, finance, business management practices and team building. Dr. Truitt works with entrepreneurial and sustainability initiatives in developing countries, fostering global justice, gender equality, low-cost housing and environmental sustainability and disseminating project management techniques enhancing nonprofit organizational development, funding diversification and sustainability. He joined Walden’s faculty in 2008.
