Dr. Tiffany McLaurin received her PHD in Juvenile Justice in 2007, her Masters’ Degree in Counseling in 1995, and her Bachelors’ Degree in Criminal Justice in 1993. Dr. McLaurin recently joined the Walden University Faculty as a Contributing Faculty in Criminal Justice in 2020. She has a comprehensive background in Teaching, Counseling and Criminal Justice that extends over a twenty-year period. She is a published author and has published over 15 scholarly articles, book chapters and book reviews.

Dr. McLaurin’s research areas of interest and publication are honed on adolescent delinquency, gangs, human trafficking, corrections, and prisons. She has presented research on the local, national, and international levels and has been an invited speaker on Children in Danger at Oxford University as well as in Sofia Bulgaria in Human Trafficking. Dr. McLaurin has held several positions in professional associations.

Tiffany is passionate about service to her community and has a long history of advocacy, mentoring students in Servant Leadership. Her service extends to her active commitment to Habitat for Humanity, March of Dimes March for Babies, Victim Awareness, and Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA).
