Teresa Ferguson has been a nurse educator since 2006. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Kentucky in August 2012. She currently serves as Contributing Faculty in the College of Health Sciences at Walden University. Dr. Ferguson will be teaching in the Master of Science in Nursing program beginning Fall 2018. Her research interests include smoke-free policy and simulation in nursing. She has taught Public Health, Population Health, Global Health, Men’s Health and other undergraduate courses at another university. Professionally, Dr. Ferguson has worked as a registered nurse 25+ years in the areas of quality management, obstetrics and medical-surgical nursing. She has published a number of peer-reviewed articles in professional journals and presented at state and national conferences on various health care related topics.
