Dr. Tanya Cohn’s formal training is in clinical research development where she has served in various roles over the last 10 years of her nursing career. Dr. Cohn works as a Nurse Scientist in a clinical hospital system in South Florida. This experience has provided her with vast knowledge on research and evidence-based practice design along with implementation. At Walden University, Dr. Cohn teaches the doctoral capstone and DNP courses. She has served on several doctoral student dissertation committees.
Dr. Cohn’s current research interests focus primarily on clinical outcomes, nurse sensitive indicators, and healthy work environments. She has presented at conferences and published her research in peer review journals along with editorials on nursing leadership. In 2015 Dr. Cohn was awarded the Nurse Research Award from the Florida Nurses Association (South Region) for her contributions and mentorship of novice researchers in the clinical setting.
