Tami Lewis, PhD is a Program Manager for the American Cancer Society and has 20 years’ of experience in organizational leadership. She was the Director of Service Excellence at Robinson Memorial Hospital where she created and developed the service excellence department which produced a successful patient experience culture. She worked collaboratively with directors, front line supervisors, physicians and other health care professionals to create action plans and quality improvement initiatives based on patient rights and government regulations. In addition, she developed and taught behavioral skills to staff, and promoted collaboration and diversity among departments.
She holds a business management degree from Malone Univesity, a masters degree in organizational leadership from Geneva College and a PhD from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology also in organizational leadership.
Tami has been featured in Modern Healthcare magazine and was an expert panelist for the Healthcare Executives Association of Northeast Ohio (HEANO) discussing Reinventing Customer Service in Healthcare: Lessons Learned from the Best. She was also featured on WKYC’s Good Company show discussing service excellence initiatives and the role of a patient advocates. She has done several motivational speaking engagements as well as speaking on such topics as networking, communication and collaboration, emotional intelligence, leadership engagement, perceptual blindness, social engagement, and life coaching.
