Dr. Susan Rarick’s formal training is in counseling psychology. In her more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Rarick has served as a psychologist in college counseling centers where she provided individual and group therapy, training and supervision, consultation and outreach services. She has also provided psychotherapy in private practice, and she has worked in residential treatment centers, a psychiatric hospital for children, and college career centers. In addition, Dr. Rarick has worked in a corporate organizational development office doing executive assessment and coaching. Dr. Rarick has taught in numerous educational institutions from the bachelor’s level to the doctoral level. At Walden University, she teaches in the doctoral program in clinical psychology and serves on student dissertation committees. Her research interests are varied. She is interested in career and/or retirement planning, grief and loss, body image, stress management, self-esteem, relationships, depression, anxiety, and LGBT concerns.
