Dr. Susan McGowan-Koyzis
Dr. Susan McGowan-Koyzis’ formal training is in educational policy, planning, and leadership where she has served in various roles during her 25 year career. Dr. Koyzis served as a program director for online learning at the University of Nicosia online, a university in Larnaca, Cyprus. She has also worked with Galen University in Belize and has help to design the curriculum for a new university in Nigeria. Dr. Koyzis has worked in higher education positions related to teacher training and leadership, curriculum design, and assessment in both online and traditional settings. She has served both as a public and private school teacher, achieving National Board Certification. At Walden University, she teaches the doctoral capstone courses. Dr. Koyzis has served on numerous doctoral student dissertation committees both nationally and internationally. Dr. Koyzis’ current research interests focus primarily on creating a sustainable model for online learning. She has presented at conferences in the US and internationally. Dr. Koyzis has published on curriculum and online learning since graduate school.
