Dr. Sue Ellen Bell's formal training is in nursing where she has served in various roles over her 30+ year career. Dr. Bell has served as a public health nurse, a director of guideline development, a public health researcher, and then moved into a nursing faculty role at both online and brick and mortar institutions. At Walden University, she teaches the DNP clinical practice courses and mentors students in their clinical practice projects. Dr. Bell has served on numerous doctoral student committees.
Dr. Bell’s current research interests focus primarily on distributive justice in health care delivery and ethics in health care. She has presented at numerous
conferences including the Midwest Society of Nursing Research, the Society for Applied Anthropology, the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists, and the International Public Health Nursing Organization.
Dr. Bell has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles as well as 3 book chapters on public health nursing and program assessment.
