I have been involved in adult higher education for over 20 years. At first it started as a way to put bread and butter on the table which soon (by the time my first class was over) evolved to a passion.
I am the founder of MSC, INC. Informally established in 1988 and formally established (with permits and such) in 1995, Scottsdale, Arizona.
Prior to the above I have held positions in the hotel, manufacturing, and aftermarket industries with companies such as Holiday Inn, Hyatt, Westin, Rockwell International and AlliedSignal (Honeywell).
I am a member of American Society for Quality and have served as the 1996-97 Chairman of the Phoenix section. I am also a member of the American Management Association, the Institute of Certified Professional Managers, and the Project Management Institute.
I have served as an examiner at the Arizona Governor’s Award for Quality and I am a certified examiner of the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award. I have also served as a judge in the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce and Arthur Andersen’s quality excellent performance awards.
I am married and have three sons and a daughter. I enjoy tennis, squash, and golf. I also enjoy living in the desert and I love visiting the beach.
In my spare time, I volunteer for various activities at the school district such as I attend the Parent Council meeting and help with various needs, help with the Lego league, stem program, and special education with focus on autism children. I also contribute to various health organizations and provide low income housing for needy families.
