Ph.D. Education

Dr. Stephanie Gaddy has worked in higher education as a faculty member and as an administrator. She lives in Illinois and has been with Walden University since 2009, supporting students in the Ed.D. and the Ph.D. in Special Education. In the past, as a faculty member, Dr. Gaddy has taught special education, educational foundations, early childhood education, educational psychology, developmental psychology, reading, and English courses. She also served as an administrator and created as well as directed a college's office for disability services and a nationally recognized college program for students with attention disabilities. Dr. Gaddy also provides service in her community by providing equine-assisted learning.
Dr. Gaddy's research interests include the identification of best practices to effectively teach all students, best practices to improve reading comprehension, the effective administration of a college disability services office, and effective methods to assist transition to the postsecondary environment for students with disabilities.
