Shani Collins Woods, PhD, MSW is a Contributing Faculty in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Walden University. She has been teaching at Walden University since 2020.
As a Brown University Clinical and Community-Based HIV/AIDS
Research Training (CCRT) fellow, she has received training and
education in clinical, behavioral, and translational research. As a
National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute—Obesity Health Disparities (OHD) Pride research scholar, she has received evidence-based,culturally- and environmentally-relevant research training focused on
obesity prevention and treatment.
Her areas of interest include
community-engagement, health equity, and race and gender issues.
