College of Nursing
I am Sandra Nash from Macomb, Illinois and I will be teaching part-time for the Core courses for Masters Degree students in nursing. I have been a nurse for 22 years, mainly in critical care. I received my bachelor's degree from Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL, my Master in Nursing from Vanderbilt University in Nashville TN, and my PhD in nursing from University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. I have taught at the ADN, RN-BSN completion, BSN, and MSN levels in nursing. I have taught critical care nursing, pathophysiology, all systems of medical-surgical nursing, Research, Nursing theory, infomatics, and professional nursing. I have taught many courses online, but mainly research and pathophysiology online. I love cardiac nursing and pathophysiology. Even though I am a beginning researcher an area of research interest include supports and barriers for nurses to further their degree in nursing.
I heard of Walden mainly by being a preceptor for two graduate masters in nursing education students. I enjoyed it immensely. I have taught both 6001, 6050, and 6052 courses at Walden.
