Dr. Browning has 48 years of experience in education. For many years she taught mathematics in public schools. This included experience in teaching mathematics from elementary school through high school mathematics. During Dr. Browning's last ten years in public schools, she was an administrator charged with supervising the mathematics and science teachers of grades prekindergarten through grade 12. In this role, she facilitated the development and alignment of curriculum, created quarterly benchmark exams, provided support and training to insure equity of instruction and materials, and evaluated teachers. Dr. Browning also has 20 years of experience teaching mathematics at the community college and university levels. In addition to teaching university level mathematics, Dr. Browning has taught undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral level courses on pedagogy, curriculum design, creating positive classroom environments for elementary and secondary classrooms, and STEM content classes. Dr. Browning has a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education and sits on the Executive Committee for the EDCI degree at the University of Houston-Clear Lake in Houston Texas. Dr. Browning teaches courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral level. Her course load includes elementary and secondary mathematics methods courses, curriculum design courses, classroom environment courses, supervising undergraduate interns, coordinating graduate interns, and chairing dissertation committees.
