Dr. Ruth Politi’s formal training is in Nursing Administration, Education, Ethics, and Research She has served in various roles over her 30+ year career in Las Vegas, NV before moving to higher education where she taught students in both the online and face-to-face learning environments as an Associate Professor.
At Walden University, she teaches various Nursing Education courses and core classes for the MSN School of Nursing including Evidence-Based Practice. Dr. Politi has served on numerous DNP student dissertation committees as a member and as a University Research Reviewer.
Dr. Politi’s current research interests focus primarily on the workplace environment with a focus on safe staffing, organizational ethics, and the new nurse's transition into professional practice. In addition to peer-reviewed articles, Dr. Politi has published 3 book chapters in the areas of simulation and regulatory requirements in healthcare. She has presented at the local and national levels on professional issues, including inter-professional communication. Dr. Politi also serves on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Nursing Education.
