College of Social and Behavioral Sciences
Having graduated from a distance education program, I understand both the joys and frustrations that Walden learners face. A humanistic-oriented teacher, I value the individual and appreciate both analytic and experiential forms of learning. My personal and professional outlook is distinctly interdisciplinary. As a former university librarian, I am dedicated to the on-going process of adult learning and to exploring the ever-expanding world of ideas. I earned my B.S. in psychology from St. Joseph’s College in Indiana, an M.L.S. (librarianship) from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and an M.S. in media technology from the University of Wisconsin-Stout (in Menomonie). I earned a Ph.D. in Psychology from Saybrook Graduate School, San Francisco. I have also earned an advanced certificate in library management. To nourish my lifelong interest in the visual arts I later completed a B.F.A. equivalent from various schools in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
