Dr. Ruby Willey-Rendon graduated in 2001 from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. In 2002, she received a master’s degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education from Wayland Baptist University. In 2008, Dr. Willey-Rendon received a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Language and Literacy from Texas Tech University.

Dr. Willey-Rendon has been teaching at the university level for 14 years. She has taught in brick and mortar universities as well as online universities.

Dr. Willey-Rendon was an elementary teacher for a number of years. In 2006, she was hired as an Instructor of Literacy Education and a University Supervisor at Texas Tech University. In 2008, she was hired at West Texas A&M University as an Assistant Professor of Reading and Early Childhood Education. In 2010, she was the Program Chair of Reading and Early Childhood Education. Currently, Dr. Willey-Rendon is a Course Instructor at Western Governors University, an Adjunct Faculty in Education at Northcentral University, an Adjunct Faculty in Early Childhood Education at Grand Canyon University, and an Adjunct Faculty Member at Walden University.
