Robin S. Carlson is a clinical trial professional who currently works as a Manager, Regulatory Affairs for a medical device company (laboratory information systems) and has served as Director, Clinical Affairs or Clinical Program Manager for a wide range of organizations including start-up companies, multinational corporations (big pharma), and contract research organizations. She has led medical device studies for endovascular, orthopedic, cardiovascular and companion diagnostic products. Dr. Carlson is Regulatory Affairs Certified (RAC) and has participated in clinical discussions with the FDA. Dr. Carlson received her PhD in Operations Research (Applied Management and Decision Sciences) from Walden University and currently serves as chair, committee member, and university research reviewer for Walden doctoral candidates in the College of Health Sciences. Dr. Carlson has experience teaching multiple aspects of Clinical Research including Biostatistics, Health Care Statistics, Introduction to Clinical Research, and Pharma and Medical Device Product Development.
Research interests include Quality of Life assessment, Health Information Technology/Electronic Health Records, and optimizing Health Care Administration and Clinical Trials.
